Alabama Statutes § 11-46-8 Election of mayor and members of city council in Class 1 municipalities
Statute Text
(a)
This section shall only apply in a Class 1 municipality.
(b)
Commencing with the municipal election in 2011, the mayor shall be elected for a two-year term of office. Commencing with the municipal election in 2013, and thereafter, the mayor and the members of the city council shall be elected at the same election for a four-year term of office.
