Alaska Regulations § 6 AAC 27.060 District absentee and questioned ballot review board
Regulation Text
(a)
The district absentee and questioned ballot counting board shall be comprised of at least two qualified voters appointed by the election supervisor at least 15 days before the date of the regional educational attendance area election, or other local elections conducted by the Division of Elections.
(b)
By the 10th day after the date of the election, the election supervisor, in the presence and with the assistance of the district absentee and questioned ballot board, will examine affidavits, review and count any additional absentee ballots and all questioned ballots, and certify the review.
(c)
In close elections, the election supervisor may direct the absentee-ballot counting board to count the absentee ballots on hand on the third day following the election.
(d)
The district absentee and questioned ballot counting board shall follow the procedures specified in
AS
15.20.203
and
15.20.207
.
(e)
Except for special elections, ballots received and reviewed by election day in by-mail elections will be counted election day and results transmitted after 8:00 p.m.
