Arizona Statutes § 16-565 Hours polls opened and closed; proclamation of opening and closing polls
Statute Text
A.
For any election called pursuant to the laws of this state, the polls shall be opened in every precinct at 6:00 a.m. on the day of election and shall be closed at 7:00 p.m.
B.
Before the election board receives any ballots, it shall proclaim aloud at the place of election that the polls are open and voting may thereupon commence and continue during the time the polls remain open.
C.
The election marshal shall proclaim the opening of the polls at 6:00 a.m. and shall proclaim the closing of the polls at one hour, at thirty minutes, at fifteen minutes and at one minute before closing and again at the moment of closing. The inspector and two judges shall determine when the hour for closing the polls has arrived.
D.
Any qualified voter who at the moment of closing is in the line of waiting voters shall be allowed to vote.
