Arizona Statutes § 16-581 Elderly persons; persons with disabilities; inaccessible polling places; definitions
Statute Text
A.
If the board of supervisors determines that a polling place is inaccessible to elderly persons or persons with disabilities, it shall provide for alternative voting according to procedures established by the chief election officer of the state pursuant to the voting accessibility for the elderly and handicapped act (
P.L.
98-435
; 98 Stat. 1678, 1984;

).
B.
For the purposes of this section:
1.
"Elderly" means sixty-five years of age or older.
2.
"Persons with disabilities" means a person who has a temporary or permanent physical disability that substantially restricts or limits the person's access to polling places.
