Arkansas Statutes § 7-4-305 Election law violation - Hotline
Statute Text
(a)
(1)
The Attorney General shall establish and publish procedures to receive complaints concerning violations of election law.
(2)
The procedures shall include the operation of a toll-free hotline and may include procedures to receive written complaints through the mail, email, or fax.
(3)
Knowingly filing a false claim of a violation of election law is a Class A misdemeanor punishable under §
7-1-103
(c)
.
(b)
(1)
The State Board of Election Commissioners shall report all complaints received through the election law violation hotline to the Joint Performance Review Committee in the report required under §
7-4-304
.
(2)
The report may contain preliminary findings by the State Board of Election Commissioners as to the validity of the complaint if the full investigation is not complete.
