California Regulations § 18450.6 Disclosure on Advertisements in Languages Other than English

Up to Chapter 4: Campaign Disclosure

(a) If an advertisement, as defined in Section 84501 , appears primarily in a language other than English, whether written or spoken, the advertisement disclosure required by Article 5 of Chapter 4 must appear in that same language.
(b) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), a committee's name must be the same as the name used in the most recent Statement of Organization filed pursuant to Section 84101 or the name that a filer is required to use on campaign statements pursuant to subdivision (o) of Section 84211 . However, a committee name required by Section 84502 may be shortened in accordance with Section 84502 (e) if appearing in the following formats:
(1) A video advertisement disseminated over the internet.
(2) A print advertisement larger than those designed to be individually distributed subject to Section 84504.2 (b) .
(3) An electronic media advertisement subject to Section 84504.3 (b) .
(4) A text message advertisement subject to Section 84504.7 .
