California Regulations § 20100 Overvotes
Regulation Text
When a voter has selected, by marking the ballot or writing in or a combination thereof, more candidates than there are candidates to be nominated or selected for the office, the vote for that office shall not be counted, regardless of whether the candidate whose name is written in has complied with the requirements of Chapter 8 (commencing with Section
7300
) of Division 6 of the Elections Code.
