The Secretary of State shall establish and maintain a statewide system to facilitate the reporting of election results and voter and candidate information, and to otherwise administer and enhance election administration.

History

Amended by Stats 2015 ch 728 ( AB 1020 ) , s 38 , eff. 1/1/2016 if the Secretary of State certifies that the state has a statewide voter registration database that complies with the requirements of the federal Help America Vote Act of 2002 ( 52 U.S.C. Sec. 20901 et seq.) . Certification issued 9/26/2016.
