California Statutes § 2206 Regulations to facilitate availability of death statistics

The Secretary of State shall adopt regulations to facilitate the availability of death statistics from the State Department of Health Services. The data shall be used by the Secretary of State or county elections officials in canceling the affidavit of registration of deceased persons.

Amended by Stats 2015 ch 728 ( AB 1020 ) , s 60 , eff. 1/1/2016 if the Secretary of State certifies that the state has a statewide voter registration database that complies with the requirements of the federal Help America Vote Act of 2002 ( 52 U.S.C. Sec. 20901 et seq.) . Certification issued 9/26/2016.
