Colorado Statutes § 1-13-713 Intimidation

Up to Article 13: Election Offenses

It is unlawful for any person directly or indirectly, by himself or herself or by any other person in his or her behalf, to impede, prevent, or otherwise interfere with the free exercise of the elective franchise of any elector or to compel, induce, or prevail upon any elector either to give or refrain from giving the elector's vote at any election provided by law or to give or refrain from giving the elector's vote for any particular person or measure at any such election. Each such offense is a class 1 misdemeanor.

Editor's Note

(1) The provisions of this section are similar to provisions of several former sections as they existed prior to 1980.
(2) Section 803(2) of chapter 462 (SB 21-271), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act changing this section applies to offenses committed on or after March 1, 2022.
