Colorado Statutes § 1-13-717 Penalty for destruction of supplies

Up to Article 13: Election Offenses

Statute Text

Any person who, during an election, willfully defaces, tears down, removes, or destroys any card of instruction or sample ballot printed or posted for the instruction of voters or who, during an election, willfully removes or destroys any of the supplies or conveniences furnished to enable a voter to prepare the voter's ballot or willfully hinders the voting of others upon conviction shall be punished as provided in section 1-13-111 .

(1) This section is similar to former § 1-30-112 as it existed prior to 1980.
(2) Section 803(2) of chapter 462 (SB 21-271), Session Laws of Colorado 2021, provides that the act changing this section applies to offenses committed on or after March 1, 2022.
