Hawaii Regulations § 3-161-81 Disposition
Regulation Text
(a)
The commission, within the time permitted by chapter
91
, Hawaii Revised Statutes, shall either deny the petition or initiate public rulemaking procedures in accordance with this subchapter and chapter
91
, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
(b)
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the commission may deny any petition which:
(1)
Fails to substantially conform with the requirements of section
3-161-80
;
(2)
Discloses insufficient reasons justifying the institution of public rulemaking procedures; or
(3)
Concerns a matter not within the jurisdiction of the commission.
