Illinois Statutes § 5/5-22 Instruction and supplies for clerks for cities, villages and towns

Up to Article 5: Registration of Electors in Counties Having a Population of 500,000 or More

As soon as possible after the precinct registration held under section 5-6 and again after the registrations provided by section 5-17 of this article 5, the County Clerk shall require all city, village and incorporated town clerks to call at his office and shall give written and verbal instructions relative to duties under this article 5 to all city, village and incorporated town clerks, and shall also supply them with, and get their receipts for blank registration cards to enable them to perform their duties with respect to the registration of voters in their offices under section 5-19 of this article 5.
As soon as possible after the precinct registration held under section 5-6 of this article, the County Clerk shall require all town clerks to appear at his office at which time he shall give them verbal and written instructions relative to their duties under this article 5, and at the same time he shall also supply them with and get their receipts for blank registration cards to enable them to perform their duties with respect to the registration of voters in their offices under section 5-19 of this article 5.
