Indiana Statutes § 3-14-2-25 Marking or defacing ballots by precinct election board member or authorized election personnel
Statute Text
A member of a precinct election board or county election board, a person employed at the central counting headquarters, or a person charged with a duty in connection with an election or entrusted with the custody or control of a ballot either before or after voting who marks or defaces a ballot for the purpose of:
(1)
identifying the ballot (except by numbering protested ballots for future reference as provided by law); or
(2)
vitiating the ballot;
commits a Level 6 felony.
