Indiana Statutes § 3-6-6-5 Election sheriffs; appointment

Up to Chapter 6: Precinct Election Officers

Statute Text

(a) Except as provided in section 38 of this chapter, each county election board shall appoint two (2) election sheriffs for each precinct in the county.
(b) Each county chairman of a major political party of the county is entitled to nominate one (1) election sheriff under section 9 of this chapter.
(c) Except as provided in section 39 of this chapter, the sheriffs must be voters of the county.
