Indiana Statutes § 3-7-43-6 Cancellation of registration at voter's request; time to process request; transmittal of request; retention of records

(a)
This section applies to a voter who requests a cancellation of voter registration under IC
3-7-39-6
.
(b)
The county voter registration office of the county in which a voter registers shall send the authorization of cancellation to the county voter registration office using the computerized list, on an expedited basis, as required by IC
3-7-26.3
. A county voter registration office is not required to forward a paper copy of the request for cancellation of registration to another county voter registration office if the authorization of cancellation has been transmitted to the other county voter registration office using the computerized list. The county voter registration office shall retain the paper copy of the request for cancellation for the two (2) year period required under
52 U.S.C.
20701
.
