Video surveillance footage retention.
Video surveillance footage recorded pursuant to Iowa Code section
53.17
(1)
"c"
(4) shall be maintained for a period of 22 months for elections in which a federal office appears on the ballot, and for 6 months for all other elections, or until there are no more pending contests or criminal actions, whichever is later.
(2)
Absentee ballot retrieval.
Materials delivered to the ballot drop box shall be retrieved in an expeditious manner, but no less often than four times per day on days in which voters may deposit a voted ballot in the ballot drop box. The ballot drop box does not need to be checked on days in which voters are unable to deposit materials into the drop box.
(3)
Notice to voters regarding drop box availability.
If a county is providing a ballot drop box for an election, the county shall include information regarding the ballot drop box's availability, on a form prescribed by the state commissioner, with materials mailed to voters pursuant to Iowa Code section
53.8
.
