Iowa Regulations § 721-21.401 Signature requirements in cities with primary or runoff election provisions

In cities using the provisions of Iowa Code section
376.4
for nomination of candidates and in which more than one council member was elected at-large at the last preceding regular city election, the number of signatures shall be calculated by the following formula:
V = the total number of votes cast for all candidates for council member at-large at the last regular city election;
E = the number of people to be elected at the last regular city election;
V/E x.02 = the number of signatures needed by each candidate in the next regular city election.
