Iowa Statutes § 70A.40 Elective public officer contact information

1.
Within thirty days of an elective public officer swearing to an oath of office, the governmental entity the officer serves shall provide the officer with designated contact information with the governmental entity. A governmental entity that maintains an internet site shall cause to be published the contact information for each of the entity's elective public officers on the internet site maintained by the entity. An elective public officer may provide additional contact information that would normally be used to make contact with the officer to the governmental entity to be published as provided in this section for designated contact information.

For the purposes of this section,
"contact information"
means a telephone number or an electronic mail address.
b.
For the purposes of this section,
"elective public officer"
or
"officer"
means all of the following:
(1)
Members of the general assembly.
(2)
Members of a county board of supervisors.
(3)
Members of a city council.
(4)
Members of a board of directors of a school district.
