Kansas Statutes § 25-4119b Same; transfer of powers, duties and functions; former opinions and rules and regulations

(a)
All of the powers, duties and functions of the existing governmental ethics commission are hereby transferred to and conferred and imposed upon the Kansas public disclosure commission created by K.S.A. 25-4119a, as amended.
(b)
The Kansas public disclosure commission created by K.S.A. 25-4119a, as amended, shall be the successor in every way to the powers, duties and functions of the governmental ethics commission in which the same were vested prior to the effective date of this act.
(c)
Whenever the governmental ethics commission, or words of like effect, is referred to or designated by a statute, contract or other document, such reference or designation shall be deemed to apply to the Kansas public disclosure commission created by K.S.A. 25-4119a, as amended.
(d)
Subject to K.S.A. 25-4178, all opinions rendered pursuant to K.S.A. 25-4120 and 46-254 by the governmental ethics commission before the effective date of this act shall continue to be in force and effect and shall be deemed to be opinions of the Kansas public disclosure commission created by K.S.A. 25-4119a, as amended, until revised, amended or nullified pursuant to law.
(e)
The Kansas public disclosure commission created by K.S.A. 25-4119a, as amended, shall be a continuation of the governmental ethics commission.
