Louisiana Regulations § 31-I-705 Registrar of Voters Expenses

A.
The Election Expense Manual shall clearly set forth a listing of expenses for registrars of voters which are authorized for reimbursement and/or payment, and a listing of expenses for which advance approval by the Secretary of State is required, and a listing of unauthorized expenses.
B.
If a registrar of voters' expense requires written approval in advance, the request should be submitted two weeks in advance of the anticipated expense to the secretary or his designee. The approval letter or request should accompany the invoice for payment.
C.
Request for approval for any emergency expense may be done by telephone or email and reduced to writing thereafter.
