Louisiana Regulations § 52-I-1610 Monthly Reporting by Political Committees
Regulation Text
1.
If a political committee, other than a principal or subsidiary campaign committee of a candidate, chooses to file campaign finance disclosure reports on a monthly basis, written notification must be provided to the supervisory committee no less than 45 days prior to the next campaign finance disclosure report required by
R.S.
18:1491.6
to be filed by the political committee.

Such notification must be in writing on a form provided by the supervisory committee or a form which is substantially similar to the form provided by the supervisory committee, and be signed by the chairman of the political committee.

Upon receipt of the written notification from the political committee by the supervisory committee, the political committee shall file reports by the tenth of each month if the political committee accepted a contribution or some other receipt, or made an expenditure or some other disbursement during the preceding month. If the political committee is required to file a monthly report, the political committee shall begin filing monthly reports no later than the next month after which notification is received by the supervisory committee.

If a political committee intends to cease filing reports on a monthly basis written notification must be provided to the supervisory committee prior to the due date of the next monthly report; thereafter, the political committee must file the next monthly report and then commence filing reports in accordance with
R.S.
