Louisiana Regulations § 52-I-202 Powers of the Board
Regulation Text
A.
The board is empowered to:
1.
administer and enforce any law within its jurisdiction;
2.
represent the public interest in the administration of any law within its jurisdiction;
3.
offer and enter into consent opinions regarding violations of the provisions of any law within its jurisdiction;
4.
refer to fact-finding media reports, verbal reports, or requests for advisory opinions;
5.
prescribe rules of order, evidence and procedure to govern its meetings, hearings, and investigations;
6.
take such steps as may be necessary to maintain proper order and decorum during the course of its hearings and other proceedings, consistent with the resolution of matters coming before it for consideration; and
7.
include on the agenda for board consideration any matter of interest to any board member which is within the board's jurisdiction.
