Statute Text
In a presidential election year, the presidential electors shall be chosen at the general election. [ 1985, c. 161, §6 (NEW).]

Vote for presidential candidate construed.
A vote for the candidate for President is a vote for the presidential electors nominated by the candidate's political party or by petition.

Counting of ballots.
Counting of ballots for candidates for President must proceed according to the ranked-choice method of counting votes described in section
723-A
.
