Statute Text
The municipal clerk has custody of voting devices used by the municipality. [ 1985, c. 161, §6 (NEW).]
1.
Storage and maintenance.
The municipal clerk is responsible for the proper storage and maintenance of each device.
A.
The municipal clerk shall store each device in a safe, dry building. [ 1995, c. 459, §98 (AMD).]

2.
Transfer prohibited.
The municipal clerk may not transfer possession, custody or control of a voting device to any person except as expressly authorized by the Secretary of State.
