Massachusetts Regulations § 970 CMR 2.08 Disclosure and Disposition of Assets of Political Committees

(1)
For the purposes of 970 CMR 2.08, "assets" shall mean any one item that has a useful life of more than one year, would be depreciable in a normal business environment, and has a cost or value of $1,000 or more at the time of its acquisition.
(2)
Each political committee shall disclose, as receipts in the committee's campaign finance reports, funds received upon the disposition of its assets.
(3)
Assets of a political committee may not accrue to the personal benefit of a candidate or any other person.
(4)
Assets of a political committee may only be disposed of in a manner which conforms to the provisions of M.G.L. c. 55.
