Statute Text

The secretary of each caucus shall forthwith, after the ballots cast therein have been counted, transmit them, with the check list used at the caucus, to the city or town clerk, who shall preserve them for ten days. If during said time ten voters entitled to vote in said caucus shall file with said clerk a written request so to do, he shall preserve the ballots and voting lists for three months, and shall produce the same if required by any court having jurisdiction or authority over them.
