Dear Mrs. Flint:

Attorney General Allain has received your letter of request and has assigned it to me for research and reply.

Your letter states:

“When a person has been convicted in Circuit Court of a disqualifying felony, should his name be removed from the poll books when he is convicted even though there is an appeal pending in the Supreme Court?”

In response to your inquiry, the name of a person convicted of a disqualifying crime should be removed from the poll books even though there is an appeal pending before the Supreme Court.
