Dear Mrs. Flint:
Attorney General Allain has received your letter of request and has assigned it to me for research and reply.
Your letter states:
“When a person has been convicted in Circuit Court of a disqualifying felony, should his name be removed from the poll books when he is convicted even though there is an appeal pending in the Supreme Court?â€
In response to your inquiry, the name of a person convicted of a disqualifying crime should be removed from the poll books even though there is an appeal pending before the Supreme Court.
Very truly yours,
Bill Allain, Attorney General.
