Dear Mrs. Dew:

Attorney General Allain has received your opinion request dated March 14, 1980 and has assigned it to me for research and reply, your letter of request stating:

Will you please advise me as to wether the Jury Commission of the county should file their list of jurors with the Circuit Clerk during the month of March or April each year?'

Section 13-5-8, Mississippi Code of 1972, states that:

"(1) In April of each year, the Jury Commission for each county shall compile and maintain a master list consisting of the voter registration list of a county'

Section 13-5-10, ibid, mandates that the Jury Commission "maintain a jury wheel into which the Commission shall place the names of identifying numbers of prospective jurors taken from the master list.

Section 13-5-14, ibid, requires that:

"At any time the Jury Commission places names in the jury wheel, the Jury Commission shall also deliver to the senior Circuit Judge a list of all names placed on or in the jury wheel, and said Circuit Judge shall spread upon the minutes of the Circuit Court all the names so placed in the jury wheel."
