Up to Chapter 2: Effective Date of Mississippi Voter Photo Identification

Beginning with Elections held in the State of Mississippi occurring on or after June 3, 2014, each qualified elector, who is not exempt from these requirements and who appears in person to vote by absentee ballot in the Registrar's Office or Municipal Clerk's Office, or who appears to vote at his or her polling place on an election day, must identify himself or herself by presenting Acceptable Photographic Identification as define by Rule 1.1 (A) before the elector may cast his or her ballot and vote.
