Whenever the selections are properly certified to the secretary of state by the chair or acting chair of the party nominating committees for a special election or after the secretary of state has certified the names of candidates pursuant to section
115.387
or
115.401
, the secretary of state shall notify all appropriate election authorities of the selections in a timely fashion.
