(1)
Visually impaired persons can range from those with slight visual problems, not correctable by normal means, to the totally blind. In addition to the large-type printing requirements, as provided by ARM
44.3.111
(2)(a)
, requirements and suggestions for the visually impaired electors include the following:
(a)
adequate lighting shall be provided in both the voting booth and the polling place;
(b)
a magnifying glass may be provided in those polling places where the election administrator's common knowledge indicates a need; and
(c)
a plastic or cardboard card with a space cut out for a signature may be provided as a guide for signing a precinct register.
