Montana Statutes § 13-17-211 Uniform procedures for using voting systems

(1)
For each voting system approved under
13-17-101
, the secretary of state shall adopt rules specifying the procedures to be uniformly applied in elections conducted with the voting system.
(2)
The rules must, at a minimum, specify procedures that address the following:
(a)
performance testing and certification under
13-17-212
;
(b)
how electors ensure the proper disposition of a ballot pursuant to
13-13-117
(2)
;
(c)
the procedures to be followed if the comparison under
13-15-206
(2)(b)
reveals discrepancies;
(d)
how to operate and test the system during counts; and
(e)
the security measures necessary to secure the voting system before, during, and after an election.
