Montana Statutes § 13-35-237 Disclaimer on election materials funded by anonymous contributors
Statute Text
If a political committee or a joint fundraising committee claims to be exempt from disclosing the name of a person making a contribution to the political committee or the joint fundraising committee, the committee shall clearly and conspicuously include in all communications advocating the success or defeat of a candidate, political party, or ballot issue through any broadcasting station, newspaper, magazine, outdoor advertising facility, direct mailing, poster, handbill, bumper sticker, internet website, or other form of general political advertising or issue advocacy the following disclaimer: "This communication is funded by anonymous sources. The voter should determine the veracity of its content."
