New Jersey Statutes § 19:32-45 Arrest without warrant; aid of peace officers in taking arrested person to police station

Statute Text

The superintendent and his chief deputy and assistants are hereby authorized and empowered and without warrant, to arrest any person violating any provision of this Title.
The superintendent and his chief deputy and assistants, as the case may be, shall have the right and power to call upon any police officer or other peace officer to aid in taking any person so arrested to the nearest police station in the municipality in which the arrest is made, and such police officer or other peace officer shall render such aid.
Any police officer or other peace officer failing to comply with such request shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
