New Mexico Statutes § 1-12-66 Paper ballots; signature rosters, checklist of voters and tally sheets; disposition
Statute Text
A.
After all certificates have been executed, the presiding judge and the two election judges shall place the checklist of voters and one copy of the certificate of returns in that polling place in the stamped, addressed envelope provided for that purpose and an election judge shall immediately mail it to the secretary of state.
B.
The signature roster and the original certificate of returns in that polling place shall be returned to the county clerk. The signature roster and the certificate of returns shall not be placed in the ballot box.
C.
Signature rosters, checklists of registered voters, certificates of returns and tally sheets in the custody of the county clerk and the secretary of state may be destroyed only pursuant to Section
1-12-69
NMSA 1978.
