Candidates for member of the Board of Education may file Declarations of Candidacy with the Secretary of the control(parent) County Election Board or with the Secretary of the County Election Board in the county where the candidate resides. [26:13A-105] If a candidate files a Declaration of Candidacy with the Secretary of an affected County Election Board, that Secretary immediately shall notify the Secretary of the control(parent) County Election Board of the filing and shall transmit a copy of the Declaration of Candidacy to the control(parent) County Election Board. The control(parent) County Election Board shall enter the candidate's information into MESA.
