IN RE: Andrew T. LeFever, Esq. Magisterial District Judge
Magisterial District Court 02-2-04 Lancaster County

No. 7 JD 20

COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA COURT OF JUDICIAL DISCIPLINE

November 25, 2020

ORDER

AND NOW this 25th day of November, 2020, it is hereby ORDERED that the Petition For Relief For Interim Suspension Is DENIED.

PER CURIAM

*Judge Eisenhower dissents from this Order

Dissenting Statement by Judge Eisenhower

Because I conclude that Judge LeFever's actions leading up to his election to his current judicial position violated the Code of Judicial Conduct, Canon 4, Rule 4.1(A)(1) (prohibiting judicial candidates from holding an office in a political organization) and his conduct, including voting to endorse himself as a judicial candidate while a Lancaster City Democratic Committee Person, violates Article V, $17(b) of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Justices...shall not violate any canon of legal or judicial ethics....), and that these actions tend to bring disrepute on the judiciary as a whole in violation of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Article V, $18(d)(1), I would vote to suspend Judge LeFever from his judicial duties pending resolution of this matter.

I respectfully dissent.
