Pennsylvania Statutes § 3005 Changing the boundaries of election districts
Statute Text
(a)
The courts shall, upon petition, divide or redivide any borough, township or ward, where voting machines are adopted, into election districts of compact and contiguous territory, or shall consolidate election districts therein into new districts, each having between six hundred and eight hundred registered voters as nearly as may be, except that districts having less than six hundred registered voters may be created whenever the court shall be of opinion that the convenience of the voters and the public interests will be promoted thereby.
(b)
Proceedings for such division or redivision shall be conducted under the provisions of sections 502, 503, 504, 505 and 506.
