Pennsylvania Statutes § 3324 Presiding officer of committee

Up to Contested Nominations and Elections of the First Class

Immediately after the appointment of the select committee aforesaid, the President of the Senate shall notify the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and he shall immediately attend the meetings of the committee as the presiding officer thereof. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court shall decide questions regarding the admissibility of evidence, and he shall, upon request of the committee, pronounce his opinion upon other questions of law involved in the contest, but he shall not have a vote on the final determination of the case.
