South Carolina Regulations § 52-605 Approval for Out-of-State Expenses

A.
If out of state expenses are incurred by a public official or public employee for speaking before a public or private group prior written approval for the payment or reimbursement must be obtained from the appropriate approving official prior to incurring the expense or receiving reimbursement.
B.
A copy of the written approval for out of state expenses must be attached to the Statement of Economic Interests.
C.
If the official or employee does not file a Statement of Economic Interests, the approval must be maintained by the approving official.
D.
Failure to report as provided herein may result in the assessment of a late filing penalty.
