South Dakota Statutes § 12-8-2 Certification by state board of nominees at primary-Certificate of election of party officials
Statute Text
The State Canvassing Board, as soon as the returns of any primary election are canvassed as provided in §
12-20-38
, shall issue and mail to each person whom the returns show nominated for any congressional, state, judicial, or legislative office, or nominated pursuant to §
12-6-9
or chapter 12-9, a formal certificate of nomination and shall certify the names of such nominees to be printed upon the official ballot at the succeeding November election under their respective political party designations; and to each person whom the returns show elected to a party position, a formal certificate of election; said certificates to be duly executed by said canvassing board under the great seal of the state.
