Tennessee Statutes § 2-10-111 Notification of local election by county election commission - Report of compliance with statement filings - Reporting of late filings
Statute Text
(a)
Each county election commission shall notify the state election commission and the registry of election finance of each local election held in that county at the same time that public notice is posted for the election.
(b)
Each time that a statement for a candidate for local public office or political campaign committee for a local election is due to be filed with the county election commission under §
2-10-105
, the county election commission shall file with the registry of election finance a report certifying that all candidates have filed the report timely or a list of all candidates who have failed to report timely. For each local candidate who is reported to the registry of election finance as filing late, the county election commission shall be required to file, on a form prescribed by the registry, information pertaining to the late filing. The registry shall determine by rule what information from the county election commission shall be necessary. Any changes or revisions to the rules shall be promulgated pursuant to §
4-55-103
