This Court, having accelerated this appeal pursuant to Texas Election Code section 232.015, hereby requests the District Judge of Loving County to set the deadline for filing the trial court record in this cause. See TEX. ELEC. CODE ANN. § 232.015; Id. § 232.014(d) ("As

soon as practicable after an appeal in a contest is perfected, the district judge shall set the deadline for filing the record in the appellate court."). Once a deadline is set, this Court requests that the District Judge notify this Court in writing.

The reporter's record in this cause was transcribed by Una King, Linda Lester, and Patricia Reid. The reporters shall prepare the record, subject to proper request and financial arrangements, and forward the same to this Court by the deadline set by the District Judge. TEX. R. APP. P. 34.6(b) ("[T]he appellant must request in writing that the official reporter prepare the reporter's record.").

In light of the present order, Una King's request for extension of time is DENIED AS MOOT.

IT IS SO ORDERED.

Notes:

Section 232.015 allows an appellate court to "accelerate the appeal of a general or special election in a manner consistent with the procedures prescribed by Section 232.014." Tex. Elec. Code Ann. § 232.015. Therefore, this Court adopts the procedure in section 232.014(d), which requires the district judge to set the deadline for filing the trial court record in the appellate court. Id. § 232.014(d).
